FactCheck.BY is an independent organization of professional fact-checkers specializing in information verification, fake news detection, and systematic media space analysis. Our team follows international fact-checking standards to provide society with reliable data.
Our mission is to combat disinformation through systematic fact-checking and providing society with verified data. We conduct thorough analysis of the information field, debunk fake news, and provide reliable sources, fostering critical thinking and media literacy among citizens.
Our goal is to make facts accessible to everyone. We verify information, conduct independent investigations, and publish detailed analysis with evidence-based findings, helping people distinguish truth from manipulation in the information space.
Our tasks:
- Recognition and analysis of disinformation.
- Increasing awareness and resistance to disinformation among journalists and media professionals and all interested parties
- Introducing innovative tools to automate fact-checking processes, making it easier to debunk false information quickly and accurately.
- Establishing partnerships with media, academia, and technology companies to collaborate on projects aimed at countering disinformation.
Activities:
- Development and support of an online platform that allows users to check the accuracy of information and access a database of verified facts.
- Training: webinars, master classes and media literacy courses.
- Research projects in the field of disinformation and propaganda, publishing reports and recommendations for stakeholders.
- Support journalists and media organizations in fact-checking and developing content that counters disinformation.
